Villa Mercedes, restaurant in Ibiza that you will love
In Sant Antoni of Portmany, Ibiza, very close to the wonderful hostel La Torre Ibiza in which we stayed this year and that we present in this article, is one of the best restaurants on the island. This is Villa Mercedes and also, like the hostel, belongs to the Mambo Group, which manages it with wisdom and exquisiteness.
When we went to eat, a couple of months ago, they had an inauguration just in time for the season. They still had not opened the chill out area that enlivens the nights of the port and the Paseo del Mar, but inside, the piano already gleamed waiting to be played during this summer.
Villa Mercedes is located in a manor house built at the beginning of the 20th century, in 1901. It has beautiful gardens and luxurious views on its terraces. It is known for its cocktail bar and pleasant music every day, but even more so for being able to welcome up to 180 people and offer them the best Mediterranean cuisine on the market. It is a jewel in the town of San Antonio and you can not miss it.
Its cuisine, as I say, is Mediterranean but incorporates elements of fusion. The service is excellent and the atmosphere very relaxing. The day we visited, we had as starters a delicious salad of lentils with vegetables, vegetable creations and fried eggs with chistorra. Some of the dishes that we chose you will see in the photos. In the second course we had marinated fried lamb ribs with green panko, duck confit cannelloni with tomato béchamel sauce and parmesan cheese and pickled sea bass with vegetables. As I am retelling you, I am drooling. For desserts, we choose a yogurt with strawberry and crumble, as well as cheesecake with red fruit coulis.
The daily menu, from Monday to Friday, cost 15 euros and the nights, weekends and holidays 20 euros. We believe that it is a super competitive price for the quality of the service and the place.
