Fiestas of Sant Bartomeu in San Antonio: Where and what to do
The local fiestas of Sant Bartomeu last several weeks but the big day is August 24th, when they celebrate the traditional festivities and set off stunning fireworks lighting up the entire bay. Don’t miss our list of best plans for the fiestas of Sant Bartomeu 2024 and join in all the festive fun.
August 24th is also a big day at Villa Mercedes given that our location on the marina makes us one of the best places to have dinner and watch the firework display. And all this enjoying the cool air of our gardens together with live shows and a DJ session to liven up your evening even more.
Dinner at Villa Mercedes watching the fireworks
If you’re looking for a special restaurant to have dinner on Sant Bartomeu’s Day, book today your table at Villa Mercedes, a beautiful summer villa built in the early 20th century. Based on the “from market to table” concept, our menu offers Med flavours with a few international suggestions, as well as refreshing cocktails to make a toast that night. If you’re all in, remember that the fireworks are at midnight and are set off on the other side of the bay, so our garden turns into a fabulous viewpoint of the pyrotechnic show.
Suggestions for your Sant Bartomeu dinner in San Antonio
As it’s a day to celebrate, we suggest the following dishes that pair nicely with the festive vibe: for starters, a platter of Iberian Serrano ham with glass bread and grated tomato and steak tartar with Carasatu bread. Then, for the main course, what about a whole sea bass with a garlic, chilli and cider vinegar dressing? Or maybe you'd rather have meat, like a Spanish T-bone steak of pasture-fed Friesian beef? And for dessert, all our proposals make the perfect ending to a fantastic meal, like the moist brownie with vanilla ice-cream, the creamy cheesecake or the key lime pie.
